What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Attorney - Workers' Compensation position at Hedrick Gardner Kincheloe & Garofalo LLP?
We are currently seeking lateral associate attorneys with a minimum of 3 years experience practicing workers’ compensation defense litigation, to join our Workers' Compensation team in Columbia. The job responsibilities of this position include:

- Performing legal analysis on new and existing claims to develop a case strategy
- Maintaining regular communication with clients
- Reviewing and analyzing medical records
- Drafting of pleadings and responding to discovery
- Taking depositions and attending mediations
- Attending hearings before the South Carolina Workers’ Compensation Commission.
- 3 years' experience in Workers' Compensation Defense Litigation required
- Currently licensed in State of South Carolina
- Must possess excellent interpersonal skills, have strong research, writing and verbal communication skills, and be able to work independently with the support of Partners and staff.
