Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented PLC Programmer/Controls Engineer to join our innovative manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for programming and maintaining automated control systems that optimize production processes of various Hedrich transformer drying and cast resin machines. Your expertise will ensure seamless integration of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs) to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety across manufacturing operations. Duties
- Implement and troubleshoot PLC programs using industry-standard languages to control manufacturing equipment and robotic systems (primarily Siemens, Allen-Bradley and ABB).
- Read and interpret drawings to support system design and modifications.
- Conduct root cause analysis of control system issues.
- Collaborate with mechanical and/or electrical control technicians to commission and/or troubleshoot issues on Hedrich machines installed across North America.
- Perform system upgrades, calibration, and preventive maintenance on control hardware including sensors, actuators, and vacuum systems.
Requirements
- Proven experience programming PLCs with a strong understanding of control logic and automation protocols and processes.
- Hands-on experience with Siemens, Allen-Bradley and ABB PLCs is highly desirable.
- Mechanical knowledge related to manufacturing equipment.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis on complex control system issues quickly and effectively.
- Trade school or college graduate preferred.
Pay: $75,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
