Landscaping Crew Member (Full-Time & Part-Time)

Hedge’s Landscaping is hiring dependable, motivated individuals for full-time and part-time landscaping positions for the upcoming season. While this is primarily a seasonal role, reliable employees may have opportunities for off-season work, including snow and property services.
We are a quality-focused landscaping company serving commercial and residential properties throughout the greater Westfield area. We take pride in professionalism, attention to detail, and doing the job right the first time.
This is physically demanding outdoor work in all weather conditions. Candidates must be prepared to work long hours in heat, rain, and varying New England conditions.
Responsibilities
- Lawn mowing and property maintenance
- Landscape bed maintenance and detailed bed care
- Spring and fall cleanups
- Assisting with landscape installations
- Safe operation of commercial landscaping equipment
- Maintaining clean, professional job sites
- Professional and respectful interaction with customers
Qualifications
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Clean driving record (required for operating company vehicles)
- Strong attention to detail
- Mechanically inclined preferred
- Experience preferred, but willing to train the right person
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong customer service mindset
- Physically capable of heavy lifting and repetitive motion
- Willingness to learn and improve
- Prompt and dependable
Compensation & Employment Terms
- Starting pay: $15.50 – $22.00 per hour, based on experience
- Entry-level positions start at $15.50/hour
- 30–60 day probationary period
- Pay is reviewed and adjusted based on performance, reliability, skill development, and overall contribution after successful completion of probation
- Continued employment is based on performance, attendance, and adherence to company standards
