CNC Operator I - 2nd Shift

Position Summary :

Responsible for operating, inspecting, cleaning, and maintaining CNC machines to perform tasks of milling and / or lathing.

Essential Functions :

Operate CNC machines per process work instructions.
Use blueprints, hand tools, power tools, torque wrenches, and measuring devices such as gauges, calipers, micrometers, and rulers to perform duties.
Perform material handling.
Ability to perform basic troubleshooting.
Verify conformance of parts to stock lists and blueprints using measuring instruments such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers.
Perform user maintenance and daily inspection of assigned machinery.
Perform work assignments with the highest level of efficiency and quality.
Observe all safety rules and regulations.
Rework damaged parts to drawing specifications with supervision.
Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
Perform various duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.

Position Specifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

Knowledge of basic math is required.

Mechanical aptitude.

Ability to use precision measurement tools.

Perform jobs with little supervision.

Understand machine technology and terminology.

Able to read blueprints and CMM reports.

Must be detail oriented.

Educational / Experience Requirements :

Zero to three years of manufacturing machining experience.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Technical certificate preferred but not required.

Basic mathematical skills required.

Previous experience in operating a CNC mill and / or lathe preferred but not required.

Physical and Mental Demands :

Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time.

Able to lift up to 35 pounds.

Can perform repetitive tasks.

Must possess manual dexterity.
