What are the responsibilities and job description for the Spa Front Desk Attendant position at Heavenly Touch Day Spa & Tanning?
Our Front Desk Attendants are our main customer service representatives through both face-to-face and phone interaction with our clients. As the liaison between our clients and our licensed massage therapists and estheticians, our attendants schedule all of the service appointments and manage the usage of our tanning facilities. This position entails offering memberships and suggesting services, promotional packages, and gift cards to our clients. Hourly wage PLUS sales commissions. Must be available to start immediately for weekday afternoons (1 or 2pm to close) and some Saturday shifts (9am - 3pm). Local candidates with plans to remain in the area for at least the next 18-24 months strongly preferred.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Communicate sales promotions and service options with clients
- Schedule/Confirm appointments and balance the daily appointment book
- Greet and check-in/out clients before/after their appointment
- Detailed knowledge of retail products and service menu
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and relaxing spa facility
- Learn the spa software booking & point-of-sale program with basic computer/keyboard skills
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be 18 or older
- Retail sales and/or office reception experience preferred
- Capability to work flexible hours including mornings, nights and some Saturdays
- Excellent phone etiquette and speaking skills
- A team player with a positive attitude, comfortable in a fast paced environment
- Computer proficiency; knowledge of retail/appointment booking computer systems is a plus
- Critical thinking skills, including customer conflict resolution
- Have reliable transportation to/from work, especially during winter weather
