Daycare Teaching Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Daycare Teacher Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. As a Daycare Teacher Assistant, you will aid the lead teacher to create a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the social, emotional, and cognitive development of each child in your care. You will be responsible for planning engaging activities, ensuring safety, and fostering positive relationships with both children and parents.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all children.
• Supervise children during playtime, meals, and other activities to ensure their safety and well-being.
• Foster positive relationships with children by encouraging exploration, creativity, and social interaction.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom and play areas.
• Collaborate with other staff members to support the overall goals of the daycare program.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.

Skills

• Experience in nannying or caregiving roles is highly valued.
• Proven experience working with students or children in an educational setting.
• Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices a plus
• Certification in First Aid and CPR is preferred, but can be obtained after hiring.
• Must pass a DSS background check and FBI fingerprint before employment.
