What The Role Is
The Senior Corporate Accountant – Sales & Marketing is responsible for supporting the accounting and financial reporting activities related to revenue, sales, marketing, customer programs, and other commercial accounting activities for Heaven Hill’s U.S. and Global entities. This role ensures sales and marketing-related accounting activities are recorded accurately and timely in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
This position operates within a multi-entity environment with recurring close deadlines, multiple revenue streams, and cross-functional coordination with Sales, Marketing, Shared Services, FP&A, Operations, and external partners. The role supports the monthly close process through preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, analysis, and financial reporting related to commercial accounting activities while also providing oversight and support for Visitor Center accounting activities and related financial reporting.
The position plays a key role in maintaining balance sheet integrity, supporting audit readiness, improving the accuracy and efficiency of commercial accounting processes, and supporting scalable accounting operations as the business continues to grow.

How You Will Spend Your Time?
- Prepare and record journal entries related to revenue, marketing, commissions, rebates, royalties, customer programs, freight allocations, and other sales and marketing-related accounting activities
- Prepare and maintain reconciliations for sales and marketing-related balance sheet accounts to ensure completeness and accuracy
- Analyze sales and marketing-related expenses and investigate fluctuations or reconciling items as needed
- Supporting activities related to customer accruals, distributor support programs, commissions, royalties, depletions, and promotional activities
- Serve as an accounting resource to Sales and Marketing teams by providing guidance on accounting treatment, expense coding, and compliance with Heaven Hill accounting policies and procedures
- Supervise and support the Visitor Center Accountant, including review of reconciliations, journal entries, and close activities related to Visitor Center operations
- Support accounting for multiple revenue streams and sales platforms, including interfaces and reconciliations related to retail, ecommerce, and customer sales activity
- Provide guidance and support related to Visitor Center accounting processes, controls, reporting, and issue resolution
- Prepare supporting schedules, analysis, and documentation for financial reporting and management review
- Support compliance with company accounting policies, internal controls, and applicable accounting standards
- Support transactional tax accounting activities related to sales and marketing operations, including sales and use tax, excise tax, VAT, GST, and related reconciliations as assigned
- Support internal and external audits by providing supporting documentation, reconciliations, and analysis related to sales and marketing accounting activities
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and consistency within commercial accounting processes
- Support implementation of process improvements, automation initiatives, system enhancements, and standardized procedures
- Participate in special projects and strategic initiatives impacting sales and marketing accounting activities
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience in a multi-entity, global organization
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, accrual accounting, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Experience supporting revenue, sales, marketing, or commercial accounting activities
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across teams and functions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and ERP systems
- Attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy and completeness
- CPA, CMA or MBA
- Experience with IFS (ERP system)
- Experience in distilled spirits, manufacturing, or CPG industry
