Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing HVAC systems across various properties. Your expertise will ensure optimal climate control, energy efficiency, and safety standards are met. Responsibilities
- Install, service, and repair HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, and refrigeration equipment.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) systems to ensure efficiency and longevity.
- Conduct electrical testing using tools such as ohmmeters to troubleshoot wiring and component failures.
- Repair mechanical components through welding, equipment repair techniques, or replacement of faulty parts.
- Maintain detailed records of service activities, repairs performed, and system performance data for compliance and reporting purposes.
- Assist with plumbing tasks related to HVAC systems and property maintenance projects as needed.
- Operate a
driver vehicle safely for transportation of equipment or parts between sites. - Collaborate with other technicians on complex projects involving ammonia refrigeration or HVAC design modifications.
Experience
- Proven experience as a service technician in HVAC/R or related mechanical fields with a strong background in construction or property maintenance.
- Hands-on experience with appliance repair, equipment repair, welding, boiler operation, and mechanic work.
- Familiarity with schematics, technical drawings, and HVAC design principles to facilitate accurate troubleshooting and installation.
- Knowledge of refrigeration systems—including ammonia refrigeration—is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in the field performing field service tasks across multiple locations.
- Prior experience with plumbing systems and general property upkeep is advantageous.
