About the Position
The human resource representative administers day-to-day human resource duties and activities on a professional level working closely with management and staff.
- Recruitment: Recruit for open positions using personnel/recruiting agencies, external and internal recruiting methods. Receive, categorize, organize, screen identified candidates against required qualifications through interviewing, references, background check, drug screens and other activities. Work with hiring managers to schedule interviews, keep managers informed of hiring status and where the candidate is in the Recruitment: Recruit for open positions using personnel/recruiting agencies, external and internal recruiting methods. Establish and maintain applicant tracking system to track every stage of the hiring process. Initiate and track notice and rejection letters. Make offers as backup to the HR Director. Stay up to date on recruiting best practices. Assist in the implementation of new policies and procedures for recruitment and hiring processes
- Benefits Administration: Communicate benefit information to employees. Set up benefit plans in HRIS. Set up and manage enrollment events in the HRIS. Assist employees with qualifying events and ensuring the changes are made with the insurance companies and in the HRIS. Stay up to date on the latest trends in employee benefits and make suggestions for additions and changes as requested. Review and ensure employee benefits are being billed correctly on a monthly basis.
- 401K Plan Management: Maintain current knowledge of 401K plan compliance requirements by DOL & IRS and ensure plan is in compliance. Work with TPA and Plan Provider to ensure plan stays in compliance. Prepare documents and reports for annual audit. Send enrollment packets to eligible employees and answer any questions they may have or direct them to the appropriate contact. Enter 401K payroll contributions into HRIS. Upload payroll and employer match contributions to the plan provider in compliance with DOL & IRS deadlines. Maintain up to date plan documents and correspondence.
- General HR: Answer employee questions regarding time sheets, PTO, benefits, policies, recruiting, 401K, etc. Assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures. Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems. Maintain current Performance Evaluation due dates. File required reporting. EEO-1, 1095-C, 1094-C, Medicare Credible Coverage, Salary Surveys, OSHA 300 log, etc. Helps maintain compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment. Assist with payroll coordination.
Qualifications
Certifications / Licensures: Preferred PHR and/or SHRM-CP - Must obtain PHR and/or SHRM-CP
Experience: 2-5 years Human Resources Experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in related work experience and education
