The ideal candidate will perform complex multi-machine operation processes for steel fabrication supporting the manufacture of heavy equipment. Set up and operate complex equipment or production processes. Provide the first level of troubleshooting or corrective action to bring processes back within control parameters. Must be able to communicate process data to engineers, technicians, and supervisors verbally and in writing and operate multiple processes/equipment sets. Must be able to use arithmetic, including decimals, fractions, percentages, and mathematical formulas.

As a Plate Process Operator you will:
- Set up, layout and operate a variety of production machines to include but not limited to: press brake 1250t-330t, burn tables/plasma cutting machines, hydraulic cutting saws, mills, drills, cutting torches to cut, bend, form, and clean production parts for steel fabrication.
- Load, install and correctly setup the tooling for various tasks by selecting correct feeds, speeds, blade gaps and/or tooling for the job.
- Read blueprint and work order instructions to correctly produce parts checking prints for errors.
- Accurately process, identify, and number a variety of material for steel fabrication including, deburring ends or cleaning as necessary.
- Perform assigned work to time standards and quality expectations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); some previous work-related experience is a plus; or a combination of education and experience equivalent is preferred.
- Preferred 2 years experience in a heavy manufacturing environment.
- Preferred 2 yrs. knowledge of and experience working with steel.
- Overhead and Jib crane experience preferred but not required.
- Fork lift, layout, drilling and light welding previous experience preferred but not required.
- Able to read and interpret a tape measure, blueprints, and precision measurement tools and bills of material (BOM's).
