Duties
- Perform tree trimming, pruning, and removal using industry-standard techniques to promote healthy growth and safety.
- Operate bucket trucks, bucket lifts, and rigging gear efficiently and safely for elevated work.
- Conduct landscape maintenance tasks including lawn care, planting, mulching, and general landscaping to enhance property appearance.
- Utilize GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools for mapping and planning landscape projects.
- Apply horticultural principles to diagnose tree health issues and recommend appropriate care solutions.
- Assist with land clearing projects by safely removing hazardous or unwanted trees while minimizing environmental impact.
- Maintain equipment such as chainsaws, pruning tools, and safety gear in excellent condition through regular inspections.
Requirements
- Demonstrated growing experience in tree care, horticulture, or landscape maintenance.
- Knowledge of tree care practices including pruning, trimming, and disease management.
- Ability to operate bucket trucks, bucket lifts, and rigging equipment safely and effectively.
- Familiarity with GIS technology for mapping or project planning is a plus.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to working at heights and with heavy machinery.
- Excellent physical stamina to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions.
- Valid certifications or training in rigging, horticulture practices, or landscape maintenance are preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.
