About the Role:
We’re seeking a senior-level Backend Developer to join our fast-paced product team. You’ll help build and scale backend systems for AI generation, user flows, payments, and moderation pipelines. This is a hands-on role with significant ownership of backend features and a direct impact on the product. We currently have a team of 18 that is growing, this is an opportunity to be one of our foundational engineers and chance to be part of AI-empowered platform history.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain RESTful APIs using FastAPI Assist in building a internal B2B integration layer API Build scalable and well-structured data models using PostgreSQL Integrate third-party services including Stripe, Clerk, PostHog, Konva & DocRaptor, Collaborate with the frontend team to define API contracts and support UI/UX flows Integration with RAG engineering Write clean, testable, and well-documented code Participate in code reviews and sprint planning Support internationalization and localization features Assist with content moderation logic and background processing Implement caching and task queues using Redis.
Requirements
5 years of backend development experience Proficiency with Python and FastAPI Solid understanding of PostgreSQL, data modeling, and query optimization Experience with Redis for caching or job queues Familiarity with REST API design principles Experience working with version control (Git) and agile development practices Ability to write maintainable, modular, and well-tested code Strong communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented mindset
Nice to have
Experience with Docker, GitHub Actions, or cloud deployment (AWS, RunPod) Exposure to Kubernetes or Terraform (infrastructure-as-code) Experience with AI pipelines or image processing APIs Interest in design tools, generative AI, or creative applications
