Duties
- Provide attentive overnight supervision and support to residents, ensuring their safety and comfort during sleeping hours
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including toileting, mobility assistance, and personal hygiene care
- Monitor residents’ health by observing vital signs, medication adherence, and overall condition, reporting any concerns promptly
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks as needed, adhering to care plans and dietary restrictions
- Maintain cleanliness of resident rooms and common areas through light cleaning duties to promote a healthy environment
- Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident lifts to assist with mobility and prevent injury during transfers
- Follow all HIPAA regulations to protect residents’ privacy and confidentiality at all times
Qualifications
- Prior experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, group homes, or home & community care settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring is essential
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as Alzheimer's or dementia care are a plus
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or memory care needs is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and use supportive equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and family members
- Commitment to maintaining HIPAA compliance and respecting resident confidentiality
