Position Summary
- Heartly House is seeking a passionate and dedicated Human Trafficking Community Outreach Coordinator to lead efforts in raising awareness, building partnerships, and implementing prevention strategies to combat human trafficking in our community. This role is integral to advancing Heartly House’s mission of providing comprehensive services to survivors of intimate partner violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, and child abuse.

Key Responsibilities
Community Outreach & Education
- Research, recommend, develop, and implement evidence-based training and educational materials on human trafficking prevention and awareness.
- Deliver culturally responsive presentations, workshops, and training to diverse audiences, including schools, community organizations, faith-based groups, healthcare providers, and law enforcement.
- Provide mission- and issue-focused outreach and engagement to community organizations and agencies.
- Represent Heartly House at community events, coalitions, and task forces focused on human trafficking.
- Participate in the Human Trafficking Response Team (HTRT) Outreach Committee and other local/statewide advocacy and outreach committees.
- Serve as a liaison to community partners, cultivate relationships, and identify collaborative opportunities.
Program Development & Coordination
- Work collaboratively with internal teams and community partners to develop a comprehensive training program and accompanying materials.
- Collaborate with internal teams to integrate human trafficking education into existing prevention programs.
- Assist in the development of trauma-informed materials and resources for survivors and community partners.
- Coordinate special initiatives such as awareness campaigns, survivor-led events, and advocacy efforts.
Survivor Support & Advocacy
- Work closely with Heartly House’s direct service team to ensure survivors of trafficking are connected to appropriate services.
- Advocate for survivor-centered policies and practices within community systems.
Data, Reporting & Compliance
- Maintain accurate records and statistics on human trafficking outreach and engagement activities, as required by funding sources.
- Complete reports for grants, contracts, and internal evaluation.
- Adhere to Heartly House policies and philosophies, maintaining strict client confidentiality.
Other Duties
- Participate in staff and community training and workshops.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Community Engagement & Prevention Director

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Communications, Public Health, Criminal Justice, Marketing, or related field—or equivalent relevant experience.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in community engagement, advocacy, or human trafficking prevention.
- Proven success implementing outreach and education around sexual assault, domestic violence, human trafficking, and child abuse.
- Strong understanding of trauma-informed care and intersectionality.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Canva, Adobe, and social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, strategic team environment.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed.

- Bilingual or Multilingual
- Familiarity with SharePoint in Microsoft Suite.

- Successful completion of all required Heartly House Learning Management System (LMS) courses upon hire.
- Ongoing participation in continuing education and professional development.
- Compliance with all internal policies, procedures, and certification requirements as outlined by Heartly House and relevant authorities.
