Duties
- Greet clients warmly, schedule appointments, and manage the front desk with professionalism and efficiency
- Handle phone inquiries, provide information about services, and assist clients in navigating their pet care needs
- Assist veterinary staff with animal handling, restraint, and basic animal husbandry tasks
- Support veterinary procedures by preparing animals for surgery or examinations
- Maintain accurate record keeping of patient histories, treatment plans, medication administration, and laboratory results
- Ensure cleanliness of the clinic by performing thorough cleaning duties in treatment areas, kennels, and surgical room
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent - required
- Prior experience working with animals in a veterinary clinic or kennel setting is highly preferred
- Strong animal handling skills including dog handling, animal restraint, and understanding of animal behavior is highly preferred
- Attention to detail while maintaining confidentiality
- Experience with record keeping systems and client communication is essential for success in this role
- Ability to perform cleaning duties diligently while following safety protocols
- Willingness to learn new skills related to animal health care
