Medical Assistant

Key Responsibilities
- Assist with patient care during exams, procedures, and treatments as directed by the provider
- Prepare exam rooms and maintain cleanliness and organization in clinical areas
- Document medical histories, procedures, and treatment plans accurately in the electronic health record (EHR)
- Collect specimens, assist with biopsies, and ensure proper documentation and labeling
- Triage patient calls and coordinate follow-up communications with patients and providers
- Ensure appropriate inventory levels of medical and surgical supplies
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to support overall clinic operations
- Maintain confidentiality of all patient information and comply with HIPAA regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Active CPR certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Comfort using or learning electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs regularly, and up to 50 lbs occasionally
