The Patient Service Center of Heartland Dental in Effingham, IL is looking for a Patient Services Outbound Representative to join our team. As a Patient Services Outbound Representative, you’ll be a valued member Outbound calling team. This hard-working and motivated position will help our supported practices by growing their schedules, making outbound calls, and reaching out to patients to regain lost opportunities. Below is an overview of the duties and responsibilities you would take on in this role:
- Initiate outbound communication to unscheduled patients to optimize the schedules for supported offices.
- Assess the patient's need and responds with critical judgement and ensures the appropriate resolution to provide exceptional customer service.
- Quickly build rapport with patients through outbound communications and outbound phone calls
- Communicate with professional verbiage when reaching out to patients to schedule and leaving messages.
- Exhibit sensitivity to patient health information and protect confidentiality. Always maintain privacy for patient and employee information.
- Adhere to service specialized workflows for multiple offices. Follow protocols built in the software, navigating quickly between multiple computer systems with dual monitors, and documented practices for scheduling.
- Promote a positive and productive environment, supporting teamwork and communication.
- Other projects as assigned.

- Excellent communication and outstanding customer service skills required.
- Strong listening skills, attention to detail, and accuracy required.
- Proficient keyboarding and computer skills.
- Critical thinking, sound judgement and strong problem-solving skills essential.
- Must be team-oriented, open minded, flexible, and willing to learn.
- 1 year of experience in an inbound/outbound call center environment
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) skills
- Sales experience
- Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties of the position
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Repeating motions that include the wrist, hands & fingers using a computer keyboard
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
- Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person once conditions allow) periodically throughout the year (some travel will eventually be involved)
