What are the responsibilities and job description for the Due Diligence Analyst position at Heartland Consulting LLC?
The Due Diligence Analyst will provide entity-vetting support and team leadership, coordinating with the onsite SPA Program Manager and government leaders on performance, planning, training, and analytic results. Primary focus: identifying and analyzing Foreign Ownership, Control, or Influence (FOCI) risk across the Defense Industrial Base.
Additionally, serve as Product Owner for the internal vetting and analytics system under development:
- Define and maintain product vision and roadmap aligned with business and vetting needs.
- Translate needs into features, user stories, and acceptance criteria; prioritize backlog for maximum value.
- Collaborate with development team/vendor to plan sprints, monitor progress, remove impediments, and ensure timely delivery.
- Serve as liaison between stakeholders, end-users, and technical team; gather feedback and drive enhancements.
- Monitor performance, manage risks/dependencies, and evolve system to meet future needs.
- Champion user adoption, support training, and ensure seamless integration with vetting and intelligence workflows.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Market Research, Security, Intelligence, or related.
- 8 years in risk analysis, competitive intelligence, due diligence, finance, or M&A.
- 8 years applying analytic standards for business/security/intelligence data.
- 8 years using databases
- 8 years identifying trends, patterns, anomalies, and solutions.
- Active TS/SCI clearance.
- Able to work fully onsite in Quantico/Stafford, VA.
Desired:
- Experience in DoD Entity Vetting and Financial Due Diligence.
- Prior Product Owner or product management experience with business/intelligence systems.
- Familiarity with agile, backlog management, and technical liaison.
