THESE POSITIONS ARE BASED IN CENTRAL ILLINOIS AND ABILITY TO BE PRESENT ON-CAMPUS/IN-PERSON IS REQUIRED.
Adjunct faculty shall be compensated per Equated Contact Hour (ECH) of instruction. As of time of posting, the compensation rate per ECH for new Adjunct Faculty is $1,011.

In Addition To Teaching, General Expectations Include
- Evaluate student learning outcomes within established protocols
- Prepare syllabi for courses taught consistent with established approvals
- Manage student issues and problems in a manner consistent with the Student Handbook
- Create a learning environment that fosters student success and the attainment of defined learning outcomes on the master syllabus
- Demonstrate competence and remain current in the discipline
- Use major IT systems necessary for performance of basic job duties including email, grade and required attendance submissions, and learning management systems
- Cooperate with Student Success and Enrollment Services staff in advocating for student persistence and completion
- Maintain reasonable accessibility to students
- Cooperate with College-wide and division instructional goals
- Minimum of 2000 hours of demonstrated experience in the welding field
- Successful experience in and ability to teach cutting, soldering, brazing, SMAW, GMAW, and GTAW methods
- Formal welding certification, such as American Welding Society (AWS) certification
- Successful teaching experience
