Veterinary Client Care Specialist - PART TIME

We would love for our new team member to have work experience in the veterinary medical field. A high school diploma is required. A college degree is preferable. Starting pay is negotiable dependent on experience.

Part-time hours are a minimum of 20 hours per week split amongst a 4 day work week likely Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday PM. There will be a set schedule each week to allow for planning. Flexibility with switching days off may be required at times.

A Client Care Specialist at Heartland Animal Hospital is tasked with creating a warm, welcoming environment for clients and their pets. The CCS must have exceptional communication skills (both verbal and written), computer literacy, ability to multitask, a friendly positive attitude, a professional appearance and confidence to deal with stressful situations.

The responsibility of the CCS is to perform primarily clerical tasks related to animal care and to provide support to the veterinary practice manager and health care team. Tasks include, but are not limited to reception and communication(in-person, email, text), maintenance of electronic medical records, payment processing, appointment scheduling and relaying medical information and recommendations. The CCS will maintain an up to date knowledge of preventative medications, standard veterinary procedures, diagnostic services and vaccinations. At times, the CCS may be asked to assist in animal restraint(after proper training) and care(feeding/medicating) as well as facility cleaning.
