PARAMEDIC
SUMMARY: Our Paramedics provide advanced life support and basic life support emergency medical care, patient assessment and care, transport services, and other services.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS : Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Must be Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic certified/licensed in Indiana
- No criminal record
- High school diploma or GED
- ACLS Certification (preferred not required)
- BCLS Certification (preferred not required)
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS :
- Must maintain valid, current (State) Emergency Medical Technician - Paramedic certification..
- Must maintain BCLS and ACLS certifications (preferred not required)
- Current and valid state Driver's License
- BLS CPR certification
- RSI competency (preferred not required)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Safe and efficient operation of ambulances and other company equipment.
- Basic life support treatment and transportation of sick and injured persons.
- Providing basic and advanced emergency medical treatment and life-saving procedures
- Prepares inventories and stocks supplies and inspects equipment for proper operation.
- Must be able to safely lift, transfer and maneuver patients in and out of ambulances, facilities, residences and other locations.
- Respond to emergency calls, assess patient condition and make critical care decisions quickly
- Complete any and all paperwork
- Follow proper protocol and maintain professional appearance at all times'
