Material Handler I

Position Details

• Pay: $18 -$22 per hour
• Location: Outdoor Greatroom, Lakeville, MN
• 1st Shift Details: Monday- Friday 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (Core Hours)
• Lunch 11-11:30 pm (unpaid time)
• Must be flexible to stay until the work is done – could be until 6:30 PM but should have some notice if that’s the case
• OT as needed, generally an extended shift
  

Material Handler Duties Include

• Preparing and shipping OGC’s industry-leading fire tables, burners and RTF fireplace products.
• Picking & pulling parts
• Shipping small parcel packages using FedEx
• Prepare ship lists utilizing M2K
• Prepare returned product to return to inventory
• Palletizing products and optimizing pallet needs
• Loading freight into trailers
• Open crates
• Unloading ocean containers
• Replenish inventory as needed
• Utilizing a variety of industrial material handling equipment
• Forklifts
• Scanners
• Shrink wrap machines
  

Work Experience

• Forklift – previous stand up and sit down forklift certification required in a distribution center/warehouse setting
• Scanners – ability to work with hand held scanners.
  
  

Job Requirements

• Forklift experience
• Work in various temperatures and climates – not a climate-controlled work area
• Lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Must practice safety awareness
• Wearing proper PPE & practicing safe work habits – steel toed shoes required starting 1st day of work
