Heartfelt Builders is a NYC developer and general contractor hiring a full-time, W-2 NYC DOB Licensed Site Safety Manager for our active construction sites in Queens. Expected schedule: 60 hours per week. Brooklyn office; Queens sites.
*Estimated annual gross pay based on $40-$45/hour and 60 paid hours every week for 52 weeks: 40 regular hours plus 20 overtime hours at 1.5x. Actual earnings depend on hours worked. Overtime is paid after 40 hours in a workweek.
Responsibilities: Serve as the designated SSM on one assigned site at a time; conduct daily safety inspections and maintain safety logs; enforce NYC Building Code Chapter 33 and OSHA rules; handle DOB inspections, violations and stop-work issues; run toolbox talks and worker orientations; coordinate with the superintendent and operations team. Reassignment to other active NYC sites may be required as workload permits.
Requirements: Active NYC DOB Site Safety Manager license in good standing; current SST Supervisor card and OSHA 30 Construction; at least 3 years of NYC construction-site safety experience on major-building projects with approved Site Safety Plans; U.S. work authorization; and availability for the stated 60-hour schedule. An SSC license or training certificate alone does not meet the SSM requirement.
Preferred: At least 2 years serving as the designated licensed SSM; new-building, concrete or demolition experience; DOB NOW experience.
