Position Overview
We’re seeking a qualified NYC DOB–licensed Site Safety Coordinator (SSC) to oversee active job sites and ensure compliance with safety standards. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, dependable, and capable of managing multiple trades in a fast-paced NYC construction environment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain site safety compliance in accordance with NYC DOB codes and OSHA standards
- Conduct daily safety inspections and log reports
- Coordinate with general contractors, subcontractors, and DOB inspectors
- Prepare and submit safety documentation (daily logs, incident reports, toolbox talks)
Qualifications
- Active NYC DOB Site Safety Coordinator License (Required)
- Minimum 5 years of NYC construction safety experience
- 40-Hour Site Safety Manager training
- 62 Hour SST
- Strong communication and documentation skills
Compensation
- Competitive hourly rate: $50–$65/hr (based on experience)
- Overtime, weekend, and holiday rates apply per NYC DOL guidelines
- W-2 or 1099 options available
Schedule
- Monday to Friday (occasional weekends)
- Daytime shifts; evening coverage as needed for special operations
