What are the responsibilities and job description for the CVT/EKG Tech - Palm Lane position at Heart One Associates, LLC?

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Be positive, helpful, friendly, supportive, sincere and genuine to all patients, physicians, and staff.
• Be attentive and responsive to doctors’ requests and/or practice administrator/team leader requests in a timely manner.
• Be punctual and regular in attendance.
• Make decisions that reflect the best interests of Heart One Associates and provide quality patient care.
• Maintain patient confidentiality as governed by the Health Information Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
• Perform EKGs at the physician’s request.
• Check the crash cart daily to ensure all emergency equipment and medications are present, functional, and within expiration dates; reorder or replace medications and supplies as needed
• Prepare patients for treadmill and nuclear stress tests, providing clear explanations and reassurance to promote comfort and understanding.
• Conduct cardiac stress tests using approved protocols under the supervision of a cardiologist.
• Monitor patient condition, EKG tracings, and vital signs throughout the procedure, recognizing and responding promptly to any abnormal findings or adverse reactions.
• Ensure proper setup, calibration, and maintenance of all cardiac testing equipment (defibrillator daily and run test strips).
• Accurately document test results, observations, and any patient symptoms during the procedure in EMR and Ultralinq.
• Collaborate with cardiologists and nuclear medicine technologists to ensure efficient and accurate diagnostic workflows.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe testing environment in compliance with clinic infection control and safety standards.
• Assist in patient scheduling, electronic health record (EHR) data entry, and coordination of follow-up testing or consultations.
• Participate in quality assurance activities to maintain compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
