We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Billing Manager to oversee our billing department. Responsibilities
- Manage the billing cycle from invoicing to payment collection, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and other relevant financial regulations.
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or PeopleSoft for financial reporting and data entry.
- Conduct analysis of billing data to identify discrepancies or areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve billing inquiries and enhance customer service.
- Supervise the medical billing process, including CPT coding and ICD-10 compliance.
- Train and mentor staff on billing procedures, negotiation techniques, and effective communication skills.
- Maintain records of financial transactions in accordance with corporate accounting policies.
Experience
- Proven experience in a billing or accounting role within public accounting or financial services environments.
- Familiarity with non-profit accounting principles is a plus.
- Proficient in financial software applications and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with telemarketing is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of revenue cycle management and medical collection processes.
- Excellent math skills with the ability to perform double-entry bookkeeping accurately.
- Demonstrated ability in account analysis, credit analysis, and managing complex financial data.
