Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Elkhart, Indiana, for a Triage Nurse. The Triage Nurse will be responsible for assessing patient needs through telephone triage, evaluating symptoms, providing medical advice in alignment with protocols, and escalating care when necessary. Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate medical records, coordinating patients' care with the healthcare team, and delivering exceptional patient-centered care in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Nursing, Medicine, and Triage practices
- Proficiency in Telephone Triage and effective communication
- Experience in maintaining and managing Medical Records
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of Indiana
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented clinical environment
- Previous experience in a healthcare or community health setting preferred
- BLS Certification is required
