The Strategic Account Executive will be responsible for selling the portfolio of the company’s products with a focus on digital to large regional and national accounts. This person will lead sales efforts and strategies connected to key categories and core accounts. They will also drive digital sales independently by prospecting both accounts and agencies.
What will you do?
- Prospect and penetrate larger business and their agencies to drive digital avenues and revenues and YoY growth.
- Create persuasive sales presentations using MS PowerPoint and Excel detailing market trends, case studies and SFGATE ad products and solutions.
- Analyze campaign performance statistics and recommend optimized media solutions.
What will it take to be successful?
- A minimum of five years of media sales experience, with a focus on digital
- A consultative sales professional who can produce in a dynamic, highly visible environment
- Consistent top-performing digital sales record
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative and team environment
- Understands and follows digital trends in media
- Demonstrate the ability to grow market share using digital solutions, forecasting and new customers
- Can effectively connect digital content opportunities to client’s needs and initiatives
- Ability to understand the needs of clients and the value proposition
- Results-orientated, accountable, strong work ethic, team player
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong MS Office skills
- Ability to travel
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required
In accordance with applicable law, Hearst is required to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation for this role if hired in California. The reasonable estimate is between $85,000 and $95,000. Please note this information is specific to those hired in San Francisco. If this role is open to candidates outside of San Francisco, the salary range would be aligned to that specific location. A final decision on the successful candidate’s starting salary will be based on a number of permissible, non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to skills and experience, training, certifications, and education.
