Oklahoma Hearing Solutions, a well-established hearing healthcare practice with offices in Yukon and Edmond, is growing! We're looking for a Licensed Hearing Instrument Specialist (HIS) who is compassionate, motivated, and team-oriented to join our patient-focused team. This position offers flexibility and can be full-time or part-time based on candidate availability.
What You'll Do:
Hearing Healthcare & Patient Care
- Perform hearing evaluations and screenings within the HIS scope of practice
- Recommend, fit, program, and troubleshoot hearing aids and assistive listening devices
- Provide patient-centered counseling using motivational interviewing techniques
- Educate patients on hearing loss, hearing aid technology, and care
- Deliver exceptional follow-up care and ongoing support
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and company clinical protocols
Sales & Relationship Building
- Confidently recommend hearing solutions tailored to patient needs
- Establish trust and long-term relationships with patients and their families
- Help patients understand their options and feel confident in their treatment decisions
Community & Referral Outreach
- Represent the clinic at community events (senior centers, health fairs, etc.)
- Support efforts to build physician and community referral networks
- Contribute to outreach and marketing efforts that promote hearing wellness
Team & Clinic Support
- Work closely with audiologists and front office staff to ensure smooth patient flow
- Assist in managing hearing aid inventory and clinic supplies
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and continuing education opportunities
What We’re Looking For:
- Current Oklahoma Hearing Instrument Specialist License (or eligibility to obtain)
- Experience with hearing aid fitting, programming, and patient counseling
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfort with patient education and guiding treatment decisions
- A positive, team-focused attitude
- Self-motivated and organized in a fast-paced environment
- Sales experience is a strong plus
