Summary
HEAPY Engineering is seeking a forward-thinking, strategic Digital Transformation Leader to define and drive how emerging technologies, especially artificial intelligence, reshape HEAPY’s business, workflows, and the value we deliver to clients. Qualifications
- Proven experience blending AI expertise with strategic thinking with a history of leading digital transformation initiatives within a mid-to-large organization.
- Understanding of AI development, implementation and how data strategy and digital tools can elevate operations and project delivery.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable business strategies.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and/or external vendors.
- Strategic mindset paired with the ability to manage day-to-day execution.
- Understanding of the AEC Industry and it’s unique challenges and opportunities.
- Familiarity with BIM, project delivery platforms, or other AEC-specific digital tools.
- Understanding of change management frameworks (e.g., Prosci, Kotter).
- Experience in innovation leadership or digital product development.
- A background that brings practical insight into how AI can enhance real project workflows.
- Crafts and leads a comprehensive digital transformation roadmap aligned with organizational objectives and future growth.
- Translates emerging technologies into practical, scalable solutions that elevate HEAPY’s competitive position.
- Identifies and implements innovative technologies, including AI, data analytics, and automation, to streamline workflows and improve outcomes across projects and departments.
- Partners with internal programmers and external consultants to guide AI development and integration.
- Serves as HEAPY’s thought leader on AI, providing insight into current capabilities and future possibilities.
- Oversees digital transformation initiatives from concept through implementation, driving experimentation, prototyping, and ensuring sustainable impact and measurable outcomes.
- Collaborates closely with leaders across engineering, operations, IT, marketing, HR, and other functions to ensure adoption and alignment of digital tools and strategies.
- Facilitates cross-disciplinary teams to solve problems, test ideas, and implement digital solutions.
- Stays ahead of digital and AI trends, with a focus on their relevance to the AEC industry.
- Identifies high-value opportunities for differentiation and operational improvement.
- Defines KPIs for digital initiatives and regularly report on progress, making data-driven adjustments as needed.
- Uses data-driven insights to refine strategies and maximize impact.
- Additional responsibilities as requested/needed.
- Ability to remain sedentary at a workstation for long periods of time while operating a keyboard and using a computer screen.
- Ability to operate a mouse, stylus, or similar tool to make adjustments on electronic visuals.
- Ability to see details of objects on a screen, including differences in colors, shades, and brightness.
- Ability to communicate in person, electronically, and via phone with other individuals.
- Possession of reliable transportation to and from project sites.
- Ability to work in all elements of indoor and outdoor environments which include the heat, cold, rain, snow, wind, etc.
- Ability to access all areas of the jobsite with activities that include ascending and descending stairs, scaffolding, ladders, navigating elevation changes, etc.
- Capable of working in physical positions that may include maneuvering self into different positions traditionally achieved by kneeling, sitting, standing, squatting, bending over, etc.
- Ability to move, transport, or position items weighing up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to apply established protocols and practices in a timely manner. and follow safety guidelines for both company and clients.
- Ability to gather, organize, and evaluate information related to digital transformation (such as digital trends, business operations, market trends, etc.).
