The Human Capital Coordinator is well organized, detail-oriented, adaptable, and motivated to support employees who deliver patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the administration of HR policies and procedures in compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including healthcare-specific regulations such as HIPAA and OSHA
- Assist in interpretation and application of HR procedures based on the approved employee handbook and healthcare compliance standards.
- Assist in developing and updating policies to reflect changes in labor laws and healthcare mandates.
- Maintain accurate personnel files, including licensure and credentialing documentation for clinical staff.
- Process, verify, and maintain personnel related documentation, including staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations, classifications, and employee leaves of absence
- Record data for each employee, including such information as addresses, wage/salary information, absences, supervisory reports on performance, and dates of and reasons for terminations and ended temp assignments
- Provide administrative support for compensation reviews, job evaluations, and market benchmarking tailored to healthcare roles.
- Ensure timely updates in HRIS systems to include onboarding, job changes, training records, performance evaluations, employee leaves, and terminations.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reports on workforce metrics, turnover, compensation and benefits.
- Coordinate recruitment activities including job postings, applicant tracking/screening/sourcing, interview scheduling, and candidate communications
- Provide administrative and backup support for employee relations matters, performance management processes, and workplace conflict resolution
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including clinical operations, payroll, and legal to support effective HR service delivery.
- Participate in HR initiatives that enhance employee engagement and retention.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Associates degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, preferred.
- Two(2) to Three(3) years of experience in human resources, with a focus on payroll, administrative functions, and recruitment administration.
- Strong knowledge of payroll systems and HRIS software.
- Excellent understanding of employment laws and regulations.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
