Program Coordinator - DDA

Healthy Living Option Inc. is hiring a Program Coordinator to lead licensed residential homes that support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). You will supervise Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), safeguard the quality of care in every home, and serve as the key link between the people we support, their families, and our community partners. Everything you do will be guided by our mission, vision, and person-centered philosophy. You will report to the Program Director and oversee up to 10 residential homes.

What You'll Do

You will lead the people and homes on your caseload, keeping every individual's care high-quality, safe, and person-centered.

Lead and develop your team

• Supervise and coordinate DSPs and day services for the individuals on your assigned caseload.

• Partner with our Recruiter to schedule interviews and hire new team members.

• Manage staff schedules and make sure our time management system is used correctly.

Deliver person-centered care

• Make sure services are high-quality, comprehensive, and tailored to each individual's needs, strengths, and preferences.

• Build and maintain strong, respectful relationships with the individuals you support.

• Attend and actively participate in annual Person-Centered Plan meetings.

• Collaborate with area and state agencies, family members, guardians, and medical and mental health providers to support each person's overall wellbeing.

Protect health, safety, and compliance

• Ensure health and safety standards are met in line with COMAR, CMS, Maryland Board of Nursing regulations, accreditation standards, and agency policy.

• Conduct unannounced home visits to monitor quality and compliance.

• Respond promptly to incidents and emergencies.

• Provide on-call support for your assigned homes on an occasional basis.

Keep accurate records and support operations

• Ensure timely, accurate documentation across all record-keeping systems, including electronic records.

• Perform other administrative duties as assigned.

What You'll Bring

You are a strong fit if you pair hands-on experience in the developmental disabilities field with proven supervisory skills.

Required

• Associate's degree.

• At least 2 years of experience in the developmental disabilities field.

• At least 1 year of supervisory experience.

• Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and an acceptable driving record, per agency automobile insurance requirements.

• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.

• Comfort using computers and standard office and record-keeping software.

• Ability to work independently, use sound judgment, and handle occasional on-call responsibilities.

Preferred

• Bachelor's degree.

Required Certifications and Clearances

Applicants must hold or meet all of the following at the time of hire:

• CPR/First Aid

• MANDT

• Certified Medication Technician (CMT)

• DDA Core Competencies

• Valid driver's license

• Ability to pass a fingerprint-based Criminal History Records Check

Job Details

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000 - $75,000 per year

Schedule: Monday to Friday, plus occasional on-call support for assigned homes
