Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Data Center Decontamination Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess experience in industrial facilities cleaning, have diligent, meticulous attention to detail, along with the the ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively with team members. Most importantly they will have a POSITIVE ATTITUDE! This role involves careful and meticulous hands-on work in data centers, server rooms and other indoor electronic environments. Our job is to ensure these facilities are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and performance by removing dust, debris and other contaminants, cleaning the entire spaces and all equipment and hardware within them.
Responsibilities
- Use provided vacuum equipment to clean floors, subfloors, servers and computer equipment, workstations and other items within these critical electronic environments.
- Wipe hardware and equipment surfaces with non-hazardous, non-toxic cleaning solutions.
- Wipe raised floor tile surfaces with safe, non-toxic cleansing solutions.
- Arrive on time and be professional on job sites.
- Be available on weekends and for occasional weekend travel jobs within 4 hours driving. Travel jobs have all transportation, meals and hotel provided.
Experience & Qualities
- Prior experience in facilities maintenance, commercial cleaning, computer technology, IT, or related fields is preferred but not required.
- Meticulous attention to detail and careful diligence.
- Self-motivated and dedicated with a team-player mindset and positive attitude.
- Able to work standing on feet for extended periods of time.
- Able to work on hands and knees (with provided knee pads).
- Able to do some heavy lifting.
- Basic proficiency in English
Other Details
- This is a part-time position with an irregular schedule, mostly weekends and some weekdays. Most jobs are on weekends in the greater Tampa Bay area.
- Should have own dependable transportation
- Jobs usually start at 8am. Jobs over 5 hours have 1 hour paid lunch break.
- Transportation, lodging and meals are provided for out-of-town jobs as well as some travel time compensation.
