Green’s Natural Foods is seeking a friendly, reliable Cashier to provide excellent customer service while accurately processing transactions. The Cashier plays a key role in creating a welcoming shopping experience consistent with our commitment to natural, organic, and high-quality products.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers promptly and courteously
- Operate cash register, scanner, and POS system accurately
- Handle cash, credit/debit, EBT, and other payment methods
- Maintain knowledge of store products, including organic and specialty items
- Answer customer questions and direct them to appropriate departments
- Bag groceries carefully and efficiently
- Maintain a clean, organized checkout area
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including loss prevention
- Assist with stocking, pricing, and other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Previous retail or cashier experience preferred, but not required
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Basic math and cash-handling ability
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
- Interest in natural and organic foods is a plus
Work Environment
- Fast-paced retail setting
- Frequent standing, walking, and repetitive hand movements
- Occasional lifting, bending, and reaching
