Job Summary And Qualifications
A Data Engineering Intern supports the design, development, and maintenance of data pipelines and data systems that enable reliable reporting, analytics, and application use. The role typically involves assisting with data ingestion, transformation, validation, and storage processes while helping ensure data is accurate, accessible, and efficiently organized. Under the guidance of senior engineers, the intern may work with databases, ETL/ELT workflows, cloud platforms, and scripting tools to support the movement and preparation of data across systems.
This position provides hands-on experience with the foundational components of modern data infrastructure, including pipeline monitoring, troubleshooting data quality issues, optimizing data workflows, and documenting technical processes. In addition to technical skills such as SQL, Python, and data platform knowledge, the role requires strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and a willingness to learn how scalable data systems are built and maintained in support of business and engineering needs.

What you will do in this role:
- Determine the business needs for your department and aide in development of streamlined processes to achieve these needs
- Analyze projects assigned in your area and utilize the resources at your disposal to meet required deadlines
- Communicate your progress on tasks with your leader regularly to ensure business objectives are being met
- Execute the requests given by your leader, team, and/or vendors you will be working with.
- Study and learn the different technical systems that you will be working in to support your functional area.
- Review the supporting documentation available to you to determine the ways to work more efficiently in your role.
- Perform other duties as assigned

- Completed at least two semesters toward a Bachelor’s degree – Required
