Position Information
Position Overview
The Market Product Manager is responsible for defining, packaging, and driving the success of HealthStream product suites within specific healthcare segments (e.g., Skilled Nursing, Ambulatory Surgery Centers, Assisted Living). This role owns several market-facing solution suites bringing together multiple products and capabilities into cohesive, outcome-driven bundles tailored to the needs of each segment.
The Market Product Manager works cross-functionally to define segment strategy, translate market needs into clear positioning, influence product roadmaps, and ensure HealthStream delivers differentiated, market-leading solutions. This is not a technical product management role. It’s for someone who excels in the Marketing P’s, understands market dynamics, and knows how to translate strategy into momentum.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for adhering to all HealthStream security policies, procedures, and assigned training.
Commercial Performance & Growth
- Drive revenue growth, adoption, and retention for segment-specific solutions
- Partner with Sales leadership to shape go-to-market strategies, pricing guidance, and deal support
- Monitor segment performance, including win/loss trends and customer outcomes
Cross-Product Alignment & Influence
- Act as the voice of the market across multiple product teams, ensuring alignment to segment needs
- Influence product roadmaps and priorities across product managers to support segment strategy
- Ensure consistency and integration across products within each solution bundle
- Partner with Customer Success to align solutions with implementation, adoption, and measurable outcomes
Sales & Marketing Enablement
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop segment-specific messaging, positioning, and sales narratives
- Enable Sales teams with tools, training, and insights to effectively sell into assigned markets
- Support development of targeted campaigns, content, and thought leadership
- Represent HealthStream at industry events and customer engagements
Business Partner & Ecosystem Alignment
- Identify and evaluate strategic partners that enhance segment solutions
- Support partnership strategy, including integration into solution bundles and go-to-market alignment
- Collaborate with partners to ensure offerings meet segment-specific needs and expectations
Customer Insight & Feedback Loop
- Engage directly with customers and prospects to understand needs, validate solutions, and gather feedback
- Translate customer insights into actionable recommendations across product, sales, and marketing teams
- Monitor customer satisfaction, adoption trends, and outcomes within assigned segments
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare, marketing, or related field
- 5 years in product management, portfolio management, market strategy, or related role
- Experience working in or selling into healthcare settings (e.g., SNF, ASC, hospital, home health) required
- Experience working across multiple products or solutions in a matrixed environment
- Familiarity with SaaS, healthcare technology, or compliance/regulatory environments preferred
Qualifications
- Strong market orientation with ability to translate buyer needs into solutions
- Proven ability to influence without authority across product, sales, and executive stakeholders
- Strong commercial acumen with focus on growth, positioning, and outcomes
- Excellent communication, storytelling, and presentation skills (executive-level)
- Ability to manage complex, cross-functional initiatives with competing priorities
- Analytical mindset with ability to interpret market data and performance metrics
- Comfortable operating at both strategic and tactical levels
- 10–20% travel required for customer engagement and industry events
Compensation
- The salary range for this position is $89,637 - $ 115,000. Salary will be determined on the candidate’s level of experience and qualifications. Compensation will be commensurate with skills, relevant experience, and performance in similar roles.
