What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse Practitioner position at HealthSource of West Des Moines?
Join a Growing Integrative Medical Practice
Pure Vitality, Powered by HealthSource, is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to become part of our expanding multidisciplinary healthcare team.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a provider who enjoys helping patients achieve better health through regenerative medicine, medical weight management, bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT), and musculoskeletal care.
You'll work alongside experienced chiropractic physicians and rehabilitation professionals in a collaborative environment focused on improving function, reducing pain, optimizing health, and helping patients avoid unnecessary surgery whenever possible.
In addition to treating orthopedic conditions, you'll play an important role in expanding our medical wellness services, including physician-supervised weight loss and hormone optimization programs that improve patients' overall health, energy, metabolism, and quality of life.
If you enjoy practicing medicine with adequate time for patient education—not high-volume assembly-line care—we'd love to meet you.

As part of our clinical team, you will:
- Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and periodic re-examinations.
- Diagnose and manage musculoskeletal, orthopedic, and general wellness conditions.

- Evaluate and manage patients participating in our physician-supervised medical weight loss program.
- Prescribe and monitor GLP-1 medications, including semaglutide and tirzepatide, when clinically appropriate.
- Evaluate patients for hormone deficiencies and oversee Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT) programs.
- Order and interpret laboratory studies related to metabolic health, hormone optimization, and regenerative medicine.
- Educate patients regarding treatment options, lifestyle modifications, nutrition, exercise, and expected outcomes.
- Maintain accurate documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Collaborate closely with chiropractors, rehabilitation staff, and support personnel to maximize patient outcomes.
- Participate in ongoing clinical education as our regenerative medicine and wellness programs continue to expand.
Qualifications
We're looking for someone who has:
