- Are a Certified Pharmacy Technician
- Have 3-5 years of experience
- Have superb data entry skills including electronic medical records, Microsoft Word, and Excel
A day in the life of a Pharmacy Technician at HSO:
- Helps health care providers and patients by greeting them in person and by phone, answering questions and requests, and referring inquiries to the pharmacist
- Maintains pharmacy inventory by checking pharmaceutical stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed medications and supplies, placing and expediting orders, verifying receipts, and removing outdated drugs
- Accurately and efficiently prepares prescription orders
- Maintains records by recording and filing physician’s orders and prescriptions
- Verify prescription information and dosage
- Enters patient and order information into the pharmacy system
