Responsibilities
- Monitor patient status through telemetry and standard inpatient assessments
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments and document responses
- Gather and chart vital signs, inputs/outputs, and other clinical data in the electronic health record
- Collaborate with physicians, fellow nurses, and ancillary staff to implement care plans
- Respond promptly to alarms and emergencies, with escalation as needed
- Provide patient and family education on care plans, medications, and discharge instructions
- Float between Telemetry and Medical-Surgical units as assigned
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in Georgia
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Inpatient Telemetry or Medical-Surgical nursing experience preferred
- Ability to work nights; 12-hour shifts; 36 hours per week
- Willingness to float to Telemetry and Medical-Surgical units as needed
- Eligibility to meet assignment-specific requirements (background check, screenings, etc.)
