Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for PCU patients, including ongoing assessments, vital sign monitoring, and rapid response to clinical changes
- Administer prescribed medications and perform IV therapy as ordered; manage telemetry and monitor for arrhythmias
- Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and other care teammates to develop and update care plans
- Document care delivery accurately in the electronic health record; ensure timely and appropriate charting
- Assist with procedures, prepare patients for transfers or discharges, and support families with education and discharge planning
- Uphold safety, infection control, and quality of care standards in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
Requirements
- Active RN license in Georgia
- Graduation from an accredited RN program (ASN, BSN, or higher)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience in PCU or a medical-surgical/step-down setting
- ACLS and BLS certifications
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts in a hospital travel assignment and adapt to a fast-paced environment
