Responsibilities
- Provide emergency department care, including initial assessment, triage, ongoing monitoring, and rapid intervention for acutely ill or injured patients.
- Administer medications, start IV lines, manage lifesaving procedures within scope, and utilize appropriate monitoring equipment.
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice clinicians, and the care team to develop and implement patient-centered treatment plans.
- Document all patient findings clearly in the electronic health record and communicate handoffs to receiving teams.
- Support patient flow, prepare patients for admission, transfer, or discharge, and assist with efficient throughput while maintaining patient safety.
Requirements
- Active RN license (state of practice) and ability to work the listed shift schedule
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and ENPC or PALS, TNCC
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of ER experience plus travel experience; 2 years ER and 1 year travel experience preferred
- Education: Graduation from an accredited nursing program (RN)
- Ability to work in an ER setting and float to units within scope of practice as needed
- Orientation: Virtual, Mondays; 8-hour no-bill orientation; credentials due 1 week prior to start
