Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to CVICU/ICU patients with cardiovascular, neuro, trauma, and medical ICU needs.
- Monitor hemodynamics, interpret complex telemetry, and manage vasoactive medications and ventilated patients as prescribed.
- Perform comprehensive bedside assessments; identify changes in patient status and initiate appropriate interventions.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team (physicians, therapists, case management) to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the electronic medical record; ensure patient safety and quality of care.
Requirements
- Active RN license in California
- Certifications: TNCC, ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
- Experience: CVICU/ICU environments; Neuro ICU and Trauma/Medical ICU experience preferred
- Ability to work the listed shift (19:00-07:30) with 3x12s or 4x12s rotating schedules
- Capacity to operate effectively in an acute inpatient care setting
