Responsibilities
- Provide direct care in an emergency care ready setting, including triage, primary assessment, and monitoring of patients across acute care needs
- Administer medications and treatments, observe responses, and escalate changes in patient condition per protocol
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Document care accurately, maintain infection prevention practices, and uphold patient safety standards
- Educate patients and families, prepare for procedures, and assist with discharge planning and referrals
Requirements
- Active New York State RN license
- BLS, ACLS, PALS required; Stroke Certification (AHA or RQI) required
- Minimum 1 year of acute hospital RN experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment with rotating day/night shifts, including holidays
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
