Healthforce
Bethel, AK Full Time
POSTED ON 3/17/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 5/17/2026
Step into a role that blends clinical mastery with community impact as a Registered Nurse in Ambulatory Care in Bethel, Alaska. In this fast-paced outpatient setting, you will guide patients through preventive care, acute assessments, and seamless care transitions, ensuring each visit leaves patients more informed and empowered. Starting February 24, 2026, you’ll join a rotation designed to challenge and grow your clinical judgment while honoring the unique rhythms of rural healthcare. This assignment is scheduled in weeks with guaranteed 32 hours per week, and weekly pay ranging from $2,073 to $2,255, reflecting the skill and dedication you bring to the table. As you build lasting patient relationships, you’ll become a vital bridge between clinic teams, specialists, and community resources, shaping outcomes one patient at a time.

Alaska offers horizons as wide as the skies. Bethel sits at the heart of the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta, where welcoming communities, active wildlife, and vast landscapes create a backdrop for meaningful work. From summer daylight that feels endless to winter skies painted with the aurora, the state invites you to explore cultural richness, pristine wilderness, and opportunities to reflect after a day of care. The location’s isolation also brings a deep sense of purpose, as you serve patients who value continuity of care and personal connections with their health team.

Working in Bethel presents a rare blend of professional breadth and intimate teamwork. You’ll gain exposure to diverse ambulatory needs, from urgent walk-in visits and chronic disease management to preventive screenings and patient education across age groups. The program also offers the chance to work in other locations across the U.S., widening your experience, sharpening your adaptability, and expanding your professional network. Benefits include competitive compensation with a sign-on or performance bonus, housing assistance, and extension opportunities to fit your career plans. You’ll participate in comprehensive onboarding, ongoing clinical education, and robust support that acknowledges the demands of rural practice, including access to 24/7 assistance while traveling with the company, ensuring you never navigate challenges alone.

As an Ambulatory Care RN, your key responsibilities include triaging urgent concerns, conducting age-appropriate assessments, managing follow-up care, administering vaccinations and wound care, and coordinating multidisciplinary plans. You’ll educate patients about medications, self-management strategies, and preventive services, and you’ll coordinate referrals and care transitions to primary care, specialty clinics, or home health as needed. Your growth path is supported by mentoring, leadership opportunities within the clinic, and potential for extended or additional shifts to broaden scope. The role emphasizes collaboration with physicians, NPs, PAs, and case managers, and it relies on accurate documentation in electronic health records, quality improvement initiatives, and participation in patient safety efforts. Your contributions are valued as you help families navigate complex health journeys, reduce gaps in care, and promote healthier communities. The company’s benefits package includes a competitive weekly pay range of $2,073 to $2,255, sign-on and performance bonuses, housing assistance, and options for contract extensions. In addition to clinical support, you’ll receive 24/7 travel assistance, a dedicated staffing liaison, and resources to support your professional development and well-being on assignment.

Our organization is grounded in empowering staff. We foster a supportive, inclusive culture that prioritizes open communication, career advancement, and work-life balance. You’ll find mentorship, clear pathways to leadership roles, and access to ongoing education that keeps you at the cutting edge of ambulatory care. Across locations, we emphasize teamwork, dignity, and a patient-centered approach that recognizes the critical role nurses play in shaping outcomes. This is more than a job; it’s a community of forward-thinking professionals who invest in your growth as you invest in the health of others.

Interested candidates are invited to apply to join a company that values your clinical expertise and supports your professional journey. Begin your Bethel adventure with a role that blends clinical excellence, cultural accompaniment, and opportunities to broaden your horizons across the country. Please note: hours and pay rates listed are estimates and may vary. Final compensation packages and guaranteed hours will be confirmed during the hiring process. Ready to make a difference?
