Travel Physical Therapist Outpatient Job

Overview
Physical Therapist, Outpatient travel assignment in Juneau, AK, US. Start date 07/27/2026 for 13 weeks with guaranteed 40 hours per week. Shift pattern is rotating 4x10, with typical coverage including Mon–Fri days (7:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.) and Saturday mornings (8:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.). Work setting is hospital-based outpatient rehabilitation. Weekly pay ranges from $3,113 to $3,320 per week. Active Alaska license required at submission; pediatric outpatient experience is required; flu vaccination is required. Start date will be no earlier than six weeks after fingerprint clearance is received.

Responsibilities
- Provide general physical therapy evaluations and treatments to a broad range of ages, with a focus on improving functional abilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor a therapy plan of care with goals; modify as needed based on patient response
- Oversee and direct the work of Physical Therapist Assistants and/or other designated staff
- Review clinical records, participate in care conferences, and coordinate with referring providers to align on patient needs
- Document encounter findings, diagnoses, treatment plans, and prognoses per policy; ensure timely, compliant record-keeping
- Educate patients and families; create clear home exercise programs and verify understanding through feedback and demonstrations
- Collaborate with the care team to arrange medical equipment and plan for discharge; assist in administrative and operational duties as assigned
- Provide therapy consultations and in-services to medical staff and other professionals; participate in quality improvement and committee activities
- Maintain adherence to PT standards set by the American Physical Therapy Association and uphold confidentiality and professional ethics

Requirements
- Licensed Physical Therapist in Alaska with active status at time of submission
- Education: Master’s or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program, or equivalent per program policy
- Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS); valid driver's license
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of adult outpatient rehab; pediatric outpatient experience required
- Immunization: Flu vaccination required
- Start date readiness: Start date will be no earlier than six weeks after fingerprint clearance
- Ability to work in a hospital-based outpatient setting and to collaborate across the care team
