Responsibilities
- Perform quality echocardiography exams, including transthoracic echocardiography, stress echocardiography, and transesophageal assessments.
- Prepare patients, position appropriately, monitor safety, and optimize image quality for accurate interpretation.
- Operate ultrasound/equipment, acquire and process data, and generate interpretable images and measurements.
- Document results and ensure accurate charting; communicate findings to the cardiology team as appropriate.
- Maintain equipment and follow infection control protocols; adhere to ARDMS standards and BLS requirements.
- Collaborate with physicians and other clinical staff to support patient flow and scheduling of follow-up testing as needed.
Requirements
- 2 years of echocardiography experience
- ARDMS certification (required)
- BLS (AHA) certification (required)
- Ability to work in an inpatient care environment in Mattoon, IL
- Willingness to participate in a 13-week travel assignment
