Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy to patients across neonate, pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations
• Manage airway support, mechanical ventilation and weaning, ABG collection/interpretation
• Deliver airway clearance therapies, suctioning, and noninvasive ventilation (CPAP/BiPAP/HFNC)
• Monitor O2 saturation, End-Tidal CO2, and recognize/manage breathing patterns (including Cheyne-Stokes and periodic breathing)
• Perform procedures such as tracheostomy care and aerosol therapies; assist with infant/child respiratory care as needed
• Document care in Epic; participate in interdisciplinary teams and rapid response activities
• Complete pre-start competency modules (average ~16 hours) and maintain required certifications
  
  

Requirements

• Licenses: Active Washington State respiratory care license required;Pending license accepted
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS; CRT or RRT
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience; first-time travel clinicians accepted
• Education: Not specified in the job notes; please have completed an approved respiratory therapy program
• Additional: Ability to work in a hospital short-term acute care setting; may float to multiple units; weekend coverage every other week
• Vaccines: COVID-19 vaccine not required
• References: 2 references covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required
• Other: Local residency restriction applies as noted; on-site orientation per department needs; RTO requests must be included with initial submittal
