Respiratory Therapist, General – Fort Bragg, California, United States. Travel assignment starting 08/03/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range: $2,072 to $2,238 per week. 40 hours per week guaranteed. Shift: 5x8 days. Setting: acute care hospital. This is a travel - temporary assignment designed to deliver skilled respiratory care in an inpatient, adult-to-geriatric patient population.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care to patients of all ages with cardiorespiratory impairments in the acute care setting
• Administer aerosolized medications and assist with secretion clearance therapies
• Support ventilation through invasive and non-invasive devices, adjusting settings as ordered
• Conduct critical monitoring including gas exchange, oxygenation, and other physiologic metrics; document results and respond to changes
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other team members; implement prescribed treatment plans and modify therapies as directed
• Ensure patient safety, maintain infection control standards, operate and troubleshoot equipment, and educate patients and families as appropriate
  
  

Requirements

• Ability to perform respiratory therapies in an acute care hospital setting
• Comfort working with patients across the lifespan and adhering to infection control protocols
• Demonstrated ability to monitor gas exchange, oxygenation, and physiologic metrics; accurate charting and reporting
• Strong teamwork and communication skills; ability to follow physician orders and interdisciplinary care plans
• Willingness to work a 5x8 day shift in a travel assignment and complete onboarding/credentialing requirements for temporary employment
