Responsibilities

• Provide post-anesthesia care for PACU patients, including airway, breathing, and circulation assessment
• Monitor vital signs, pain levels, sedation, hemodynamics, and airway status; intervene per protocol
• Administer medications as ordered, manage IV lines, drains, and wound care per PACU protocols
• Collaborate with anesthesia and surgical teams; communicate patient status and plan of care
• Document assessments, interventions, and discharge criteria; ensure safe hand-off to the next level of care
• Uphold infection control and patient safety standards; prepare patients for discharge or transfer
  
  

Requirements

• Current RN license in Pennsylvania or a Nurse Compact license valid for PA upon submission
• BSN required
• ACLS and BLS certifications required upon submission
• Minimum 2 years of Pre/Post PACU experience
• Ability to work in a hospital setting and follow the defined shift schedule
• Demonstrated competence in post-anesthesia care and PACU protocols
