Responsibilities

• Provide direct, coordinated nursing care for PACU patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process
• Monitor patient status, assess vital signs, manage post-anesthesia recovery, and respond to changes in condition
• Collaborate with anesthesiology, surgeons, and other disciplines to coordinate post-anesthesia care
• Supervise and direct activities of assigned nursing staff; delegate tasks according to patient needs
• Document care, maintain patient safety and infection control, and prepare patients for discharge from the PACU
• Apply critical thinking, professional judgment, and independent decision-making in care planning
  
  

Requirements

• Current RN license in the United States
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts and 36 hours per week
• Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to apply the nursing process
• Ability to supervise and coordinate care among nursing staff
• Effective communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Commitment to patient safety and adherence to standards of care in a fast-paced recovery environment
